I’m joining Sweet Crystal this Sunday night at Toby Keith’s in Auburn Hills for a “Power and Glory Salute to our Warriors!” The music begins at 6:30PM with Christian bands: Veracity and Waking Vegas! Sweet Crystal goes on at 8:30PM! Come on out for some great eats and powerful music to honor our veterans! There is no cover charge. Family friendly.
About the 2014 Detroit Music Awards… Well, our single, “Some People May Ask,” didn’t win outstanding Christian recording (we were beat out by CeCe Winans’ brother, David), but Marq Speck of Sweet Crystal took away three awards for Outstanding Christian Songwriting, Vocals and Instrument (Keyboards)! Go Marq! Oh well, at least I’ve got this cool black-and white pic with Marq and all of his awards to make me look “SWEET!” Photo compliments of Marty Rickard. 🙂
Belated Note: Sweet Crystal and I have a great time performing for Celebration Michigan in the Village, Thomas Richard’s Charity in the Troy Historic Village!
