Michigan VetFest 2013!!! Had an awesome time rocking a packed house at the 8th annual Michigan VetFest with Sweet Crystal at the Motor City Eagles in Redford, MI! Before I took the stage with Sweet Crystal, I had the honor of opening the festival by singing the Star Spangled Banner! 🙂 And to “sweeten” the evening, we were followed by the very energetic and much-anticipated, legendary Brownsville Station (Yes, the band that penned “Smokin’ in the Boys Room,” their 1973 hit record)! They were ALMOST as good as Sweet Crystal. 🙂 A special thanks goes out to Russ for organizing this very successful event! I’m sure we entertained our American heroes and raised a “sweet” stash for them as well!
JamFest 2013!!! What a great time with Sweet Crystal, singing outside on a beautiful evening in Hale, MI… and for a wonderful cause! We missed Jeneiveve Short, the four-year-old beneficiary of the festival, who was there for a short while in the early part of the day, but we were honored to know that we were helping to raise much-needed funds for her and her family. 🙂 There were several other big-hearted Christian bands at the festival, playing their hearts out for Miss Short as well. A special thanks to Pastor Anderson for putting us up in Tawas for the night. We were able to spend a beautiful day on Sunday, walking along the beach of Lake Huron and taking in some sunshine, gentle breezes and great food!
