3 Chances to see Amy!!! 3 Gigs, Including the 1st Official “Meant To Be” CD Release Performance!!! :)

Hi friends, family and fans!

I have 3 performances coming up that I am very excited about! 🙂

The first is… Sept. 25th at a place called The B Side in Ann Arbor, Michigan! A singer from a Chicago acoustic act called Fairview invited me to be on the bill with him that night and I said “Yes!” I will be joined by Bassist, Mo Jones and Dobo player, Bill Arnold. 🙂 Doors open at 7PM and the show starts at 7:30PM. There will be several acoustic bands, but I don’t yet know in what order we will be playing. Stay tuned! Please like my FB page at Amy Susan Heard, and you will see timely postings from my ReverbNation account and my website. Please also “Follow Amy” on my main page! Simply enter your email address in the little white box & verify the email you will receive shortly after. That’s it! 😉

The second is… Oct. 3rd! I am really excited to be the featured artist at Lakeside Coffee House (in Orchard Lake Community Church) at 5171 Commerce, Orchard Lake, MI! This is a beautiful venue, right on the Lake! The doors will open at 7PM! The night begins at 7:30PM with a “Storyteller” and a child pianist, and then me, accompanied by the awesome Dobro stylings of Bill Arnold. We will be playing mostly originals and some family-friendly cover songs! Please come and join us! 🙂 For more info, call (248) 682-0730.

And finally, the 3rd is… AmySusanHeard_MeantToBe_CoverPhoto - Copymy first official Meant To Be CD Release performance!!! Come join us at my hometown’s newest addition, River’s Edge Brewery in downtown Milford, MI on Sunday, Nov. 1st, from 4-5PM!!! 🙂 It is a family-friendly establishment and, along with brewmaster Kim’s great home brews, they have awesome home-made root beer and delicious sandwiches! I will be playing with Bassist Mo Jones, Drummer Jamie Surgener, and “the Dobro man” Bill Arnold, all of the musicians that you hear on my newest CD, “Meant To Be!” It was a lot of red tape, but BMI finally registered my late sister, Danielle Heard, as an registered writer and now all of the music from “Meant To Be” can be tracked in radio play and live performances! Yay! 🙂

For those of you who were not able to make it to my performance at 4th Fridays in Dearborn, you missed a very special night with some wonderful Christian musicians. (A friend did a video of part of my live performance of “An Angel’s Got Her Wings,” as well as my interview with Rufus Harris, which you can see on my FB page or my YouTube page).   I will be back, probably as lead singer for Three Fold Mercy with Christian Bassist/Songwriter, Mo Jones! We have been recording for the past couple of years and are anxious to make our debut at 4th Fridays! Stay tuned!

Don’t Miss Amy at 4th Fridays (Christian Artists and Musicians Project) THIS Friday Night, June 26th! :)

4th Fridays LogoWell, it has been a long wait getting all of our ducks in a row with BMI and my sister, Danielle’s music, but the legal end is done and I am anxious to get out there and start doing promotional and CD release performances for my newest CD and first LP (long play… 14 songs), “Meant To Be!”

And FIRST UP is my absolute FAVORITE! 4th Fridays!!! This awesome event is put on my friends and prison ministry heroes, Rufus and Denise Harris, through their organization, the C.A.M.P. (Christian Artist and Musicians Project)! On the 4th Friday of each month (with the exception of November and December), this event takes place in Studio A at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. It is an awesome night of Christian entertainment! This week, you will hear Rock band, Lively Pelts, Singer/Songwriter, Amy Susan Heard and Pastor/R&B Funk Christian artist, Rufus Harris himself!

THIS Friday, June 26th! Doors open at 8PM and the music magic begins at 8:30PM! Their motto is “Good Music, Good Coffee, Good Company!” It’s actually, “Awesome Music, Delicious  Cookies and Coffee and Heavenly Company!” There will be several kinds of coffee to choose from, as well as all the yummy fixings! Chocolate, Caramel, Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, Honey, Chocolate… did I mention Chocolate? Your $10 donation is greatly needed and appreciated! All the funds go into the prison ministry so you know it is put to good use! You will also be entered into a drawing to win free coffee goodies and CDs from Rufus, Lively Pelts and yours truly! 🙂

You won’t want to miss 4th Fridays! It is Joe and my favorite date night! 🙂 Rufus puts on an incredible, high quality show in a classy setting! There will be low and high top round tables with candle lighting and seats right in front of the action if you would prefer.

See you there!!! I will have my CDs, T-shirts and stickers for sale! 🙂

P.S. I am still at #1 for the singer/songwriter category in my area on ReverbNation! Yay! 🙂

Amy is Nominated for 2 Detroit Music Awards! Vote by March 29th!!!

DMA2015Dear Family, Friends and Fans,

Sorry for the last minute notice, but my site has been in repair the past few weeks…

I am honored to be nominated for the 2015 Detroit Music Awards and there are just 4 days left to vote! I am nominated under the Gospel/Christian category for…

Outstanding Gospel/Christian Vocalist!  and…

Outstanding Gospel/Christian Songwriter!

Just click on the link below, select the Gospel/Christian category and vote by the end of March 29th! These are the same 2 awards that I won in the 2004 Detroit Music Awards, so it would be so exciting to win them 11 years later! 🙂

Register to Vote HERE! (If you are involved in the music scene in any way, you are eligible! ex: Musician, Recording Engineer, Booking Agent, Worship Leader, etc.)

Already registered? Login and VOTE HERE!

As you know, this past year, I have worked hard finishing my first LP, “Meant To Be,” a tribute to Danielle Heard (including one song written by myself, entitled “An Angel’s Got Her Wings“). “Meant To Be” was released too late in the year to be considered for a nomination, but look for it in the 2016 DMAs!

You may also remember that I performed and recorded with Christian rock band, Sweet Crystal (keyboard-driven, theatrically-inspired music), collaborating in the writing on “Some People May Ask” and “The Light of Christmas.”

I have also been writing, recording and preparing to perform with Mo Jones in Three Fold Mercy (a combination of Contemporary Christian, Rock, Progressive Jazz, Funk and Blues). You can hear one of our previous recordings on ReverbNation… “For She Loved Much.” There are many more to come!

And finally, I continue to work with a very talented composer and good friend, James Stonehouse, on our upcoming Christmas album. You may remember the single, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” released in 2013. This past year, we finished a Heard/Stonehouse original, “Christmas Innocence.” Look for it this Christmas! And I can be heard on some movie scores penned by James as well.

So, it’s been a year for writing and recording! 🙂 And I have greatly enjoyed my guest appearances with Sweet Crystal! There will be more of those to come as well, since they have just released their newest CD, “Quad,” featuring a new rock version of “Some People May Ask!”

Thank you all so much for your support!

P.S. While you are in the Gospel/Christian category, I’m sure my friends in Sweet Crystal would love to have your support for…

Outstanding Gospel/Christian Act

Outstanding Gospel/Christian Recording   and…

Outstanding Gospel/Christian Musician (Bill Blatter ~ Guitar)
